Mrs. Alethia D. Johnson, 78, the proud daughter of the late Bernita Postell, Joe Kent and Frank and Letha Frazier, was born December 25, 1947 in Sylvania, Screven County, Georgia. She transitioned on Friday, May 8, 2026 at St Joseph’s/Candler Hospital, Savannah, GA.
She attended Screven County Public School System. She was employed at Sylview Nursing Home before her health failed. She was also a member of New Zion Baptist Church where she served as an usher.
Alethia had great love for her family and left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: A loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Issac Johnson, Sr.; four sons, Frank and Karen Johnson, Issac Johnson, Jr., Eddie and Caroll Lee Johnson, and Michael and Alicia Johnson; three beloved sisters, Bernita Washington, Queen Gaines, and Stella and Willie Kittles; two brothers, Joe Kent, Jr. and Tony Kent; her last surviving aunt and uncle, Ethel Frazier of Savannah, GA and Joe Lewis Johnson, Sr. of Sylvania, GA; her sisters-in-law, Lucille Simon and Jane Carol Johnson; she also leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 24 greatgrandchildren, 4 godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved.
