Mr. Alfonso Roberson

(December 22, 1950 – December 11, 2022)

Mr. Alfonso Roberson, 71, affectionately known as “Al” and “Fonza”, was born on December 22, 1950, to the late Mr. Adam Roberson and Ms. Mattie Smith in Savannah, GA.

His early education was completed in the public schools of Screven County where he graduated in 1976.  He also served his country honorably for 9 years in the U.S. Army and later the National Guard. 

On Sunday evening December 11, 2022, Mr. Alfonso Roberson completed his earthly sojourn from this life to find rest in life eternally in Sylvania, GA.

Preceding Mr. Alfonso Roberson in death was his father and mother Adam Roberson and Mattie Smith, brothers: Adam and Johnny Roberson, along with his sister Pauline Roberson (Aunt Bama).

Fond and loving memories will forever be cherished by  his loving wife: Joyce Hunter Roberson of Sylvania, GA;  his daughter: Arsha’ Barnes (Keith) of Sylvania, GA; (3) Sons: Michael (Allegra) Burns, New Orleans, LA, Thomas (Dee Dee) Roberson, Houston, TX, and Eugene Burns of Sylvania, GA; Step Children: Tyrone Jackson and Anthony (Mirand) Jackson both of Sylvania, GA, Priscilla Prince, Miami, FL, Niasha Jenkins, Pooler, GA, and  Ciera Hudson and Ridge Hudson both of Atlanta, GA; (3) Brothers: Eddie Graham, Harvey Johnson, and Nathaniel Cokley; (3) Sisters: Juanita Williams, Betty Ann Stephens, and Julia Williams, 7 Grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
