Arthur Burgest, Jr

Arthur Burgest, Jr.  was born May 21, 1959 to Arthur Burgest, Sr. and Robbie Lee Pinkney in Screven County, Georgia.  He departed this life on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Optim Medical Center Screven, Sylvania, Georgia.

Arthur attended and graduated from Philadelphia School System.  He worked many years for Mrs. Elizabeth Mills until his health failed.

In addition to his father, Arthur was also preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Harold Burgest and his stepfather, Andrew Atkins.

His memories will be cherished by his loving wife, Brenda Roberts Burgest; his son, Antonio Allen; his mother, Robbie Lee Atkins, his stepmother, Lorraine Burgest; his brothers, James (Josie Pearl) Atkins and Johnny (Deborah) Atkins; his sister, Clara Atkins; his stepchildren, Pamela Roberts, Tolawanda Roberts, Angie (Williams) Roberts, Tyrone Roberts and Jonquil Roberts; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Melvin Roberts, Duke Roberts, Harold (Lanisha) Roberts, Corine (Raymond) Mercer, Jeannette (Gernorman) Patterson, Annette Roberts and Margerite Johnson; he also leaves a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends; special friends, Curtis Pierce and Herman (Pastor Vonncina) Kirkland.
