The Legacy of Life
Barbara Ann Robbins Roberts was born March 9, 1957 in Key West, FL to the late Willie B. Robbins and Eva Mae Smith Robbins. She departed this life, Saturday, July 9, 2022 in Hephzibah, GA.
Barbara attended the public school system of Screven County and was a member of the Screven County High School Class of 1975. At a young age she became a member of Cypress Pond Baptist Church and attended until her health failed. She loved her church. She met Curtis Roberts which led to a 14-year union and her only child, Quengwania Barchaka Roberts.
She was a dedicate, dependable hard worker. She gave 110% at whatever path she chose. Her hard work and dedication allowed her to be a great provider for her family. Barbara enjoyed spending evening “riding around town”, potting/gardening flowers, and talking on the phone throughout the day to her sisters. Although her last days were spent very painful, she always gave thanks and glory to God, often times quoting “Lord I’m Your Child”.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was also predeceased by a brother Willie B. Robbins.
She was the beloved mother to Quengwania Barchaka Roberts; the grandmother to LeDestiny Gordon of Brownwood, Texas, Uh’mya Boykins, and Holdyn Brigham; the great-grandmother to Trelin K. Samuels and one adopted, yet very special great-granddaughter, Legacy A. Clark all of Augusta, GA; she was a beloved sister to Edith (Bennie) Saxon of Sylvania, GA, Willie Mae Robbins and Janice Reid both of Ft. Pierce, FL; Michael (Betty) Robbins of Statesboro, GA, and Kenneth Robbins of Savannah, GA; a beloved niece to Eddie Washington of Dawson, GA, Paul (Pearlie) Washington of Newington, GA, Walter Washington of Atlanta, GA, Anna Lou Cross of Chicago, IL and Beatrice Gordon of Statesboro, GA; also a beloved aunt to a host of nieces and nephews and a beloved cousin to countless cousins. She was a special friend to Darryl Carswell.
