Bernest Z (Zeigler) Johnson

The Legacy of Life

Mrs. Bernest Zeigler Johnson was born May 16, 1944, to the late Mr. Ornie and Mrs. Mary Zeigler in Sylvania (Screven County), Georgia. 

Her early spiritual upbringings began at the St. Paul Baptist Church.  Bernest completed her formal education in the Public Schools of Screven County as a graduating member of the Central High School Class of 1964.  She was employed for many years at Screven County Hospital now Optim Medical Center of Sylvania, GA.

The former Bernest Zeigler was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life Mr. William T. Johnson and to this beloved union two children were born.   She loved going to church and participated on church programs all over the county. 

On Monday, May 23, 2022, Mrs. Bernest Zeigler Johnson completed her earthly chapter of this life to enter into eternity at the Optim Medical Center Screven, Sylvania, GA.  Her loving memory and legacy will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Fond memories will forever be cherished by her husband, William T. Johnson: her children, Marcella D. Johnson of Statesboro, GA and William D. Johnson (Jac) of Arizona; her grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Autymn Johnson, Robert Reed, Ronald Reed II, Ronda Reed and Ryon Reed; her sister, Evelyn D. Zeigler Young; her nieces and nephew, Kim, Danielle and Greg; a host of other relatives and friends.
