Ms. Betty Jean Stewart

April 22, 1951 – January 01, 2025

Ms. Betty Jean Stewart, 73, was born to the late Robert Lee “Bubba Red” and Lizzie Mae “Hepsey” Roberts Stewart, on April 22, 1951, in Burke County, GA.

She received her early Christian upbringings at the St. Mary Baptist Church of Girard, GA.  She received her formal education in the Burke County Elementary School in Girard, GA, as well as the Screven County Public Schools in Sylvania, GA.  She was employed at White Stag in Sylvania, GA, and Rick Ramstar of Sardis, GA.

On Wednesday January 01, 2025, Ms. Betty Jean Stewart completed her earthly sojourn to rest in eternity following an illness at the Optim Medical Center of Sylvania, GA.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother: Robert Lee “Bubba Red” Stewart and Lizzie Mae “Hepsey” Roberts Stewart, (2) Sisters: Alene Jones of Monroe, NJ, and Girlene Lattimore of Augusta, GA; (2) Brothers:  Perry Mears of Augusta, GA, and Alvin Stewart of Girard, GA; (1) Sister-in-law: Cynthia Stewart of St. Petersburg, FL, (1) Brother-in-law: Leroy McClay of Allendale, SC.

 Fond and loving memories will forever be cherished by (3) loving and caring Sisters: Marie McClay, Estill, SC, Mary (Carl) Cooper, St. Petersburg, FL, and Mary Ellen Core, Syracuse, NY; (4) Brothers: Charles Stewart, St. Petersburg, FL, Robert (Norma) Stewart, Sylvania, GA, Wesley (Bobbie Jean) Stewart and John Bonner both of Girard, GA; a Goddaughter: Eva Smith of Girard, GA, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
