MR. BOBBY EUGENE “BUCK” BARNES

April 08, 1948 – October 24, 2024

Mr. Bobby Eugene (Buck) Barnes, 76, was born April 8, 1948, to the late Dewitt and Rosette Hunter Barnes in Sylvania, Screven County, GA.

 Bobby received his formal education in the Screven County School System (Annie E. Daniels).  He started his career as a logger at an early age and continued in Logging for over forty years.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was predeceased by a sister, Betty Campbell; one brother, Fred Preston; and one nephew Akeem Barnes.

On Thursday morning October 24, 2024, Mr. Bobby Eugene Barnes made his final transition from earth to eternity, following an illness at the Optim Medical Center of Sylvania, GA.

The life and memory of “Buck”, as he was affectionately known, will forever live in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Rosezina Barnes; his two sons, Jerome Jenkins of Sylvania, GA and Leon (Tameka) Tolbert of Statesboro, GA; his daughter, Sheryal (Lawarren) Bell of Augusta, GA; his seven sisters, Charlette Barnes, Corine Barnes Zeigler, Linda Barnes, Nora Green Jenkins and Deloris Green Jackson all of Sylvania, GA, Shirley Ann (Charles) Williams of Louisville, GA and MaryLee Woodard of Fort Myers FL; his two brothers, Jackie (Johnnie Mae) Barnes and Willie (Pastor Mattie) Green both of Sylvania, GA; His sisters and brothers-in-law, Henrietta Mincey, Herbert Tolbert, Mickey (Willie) Wadley; James Tolbert and Denise Daughtry all of Sylvania, GA, Edward Tolbert, Sr of Newington, GA and Connie Tolbert of Statesboro, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
