Mr. Charles Edward Kirland was born, September 29, 1951, to the late Bennie and Betty Lee Kirkland in Screven County, Georgia.

Mr. Kirkland worked at Evans Lumber Company for many years.

He was preceded in death by parents, two sisters and one brother.

Mr. Charles Edward Kirkland departed this life on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Pineview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Sylvania, GA, following an extended illness.

Mr. Kirkland is survived by his children: Shawn and Torrey “Kojack” Scott of Savannah, GA. Brothers: George (Olivia) and Jessie (Gloria) Kirkland, SirDon (Cassandra) and Bobby (Avon) Bangs. Sisters: Diane Kirkland, Mary (Alfred) Wilson and Vanessa Pearsall. One granddaughter, Sha’Kinah Rollins. Special niece and nephew, Tracy (Micheal) Taylor and Roddrick Roberts. Uncles: James Lee and Matt Hardy; aunts Hattie Mae Grant and Laura (Ike) Davis. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
