Dollie Mae (Clark) Herrington

Dollie Herrington, 88, was born on November 02, 1932, one of 20 children to the late Jimmy and Ina Clark in Jenkins County, GA.  On Tuesday June 29, 2021, after a long and blessed Godly life, she entered into eternal rest.

Mrs. Dollie also known as Mama, Mama Dollie and Da-Da was a lifelong faithful member of the Dickey Grove Baptist Church.  She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Willard Herrington and to this blessed union five (5) children were born.  She was employed as  a head cook for Paradise Restaurant in Cooperville, GA until her health declined.  Despite of her own health issues, she was  a caregiver to many in the family including her mother, mother-in-law, and aunt Reba Huff, as well as her husband.

Dollie lived a  chaste Christian life modeling for her family the love and grace of God.  She was a lover of gospel music, the Bible, and spending time with her family.  She was a faithful member of Zion Chapter #42, the Pineapple Court #104, Heroines of Jericho and Eastern Stars of Vidette, GA, where the Matron is Geraldine Roberts.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children: Samuel Lee (Kathy) Herrington, Larry Walter Herrington, and W. DeLoris (Rufus) Little all of Statesboro, GA, Willard Herrington, Jr of Sylvania, GA,, and Jackie Lynn Herrington of Savannah, GA; a beloved daughter-in-law: Liz Mosley; her fourteen  Grandchildren:  Angela (Sherard) Trimble, Charlene (Jerry) Boyd, Courtney Carter, Jatvis Scott, Kimberly Easterling, Darcy (Jimmy) Kelly, Terrence (Karla) Herrington, Tiffany (Lee) Reynolds, Ricky (Leah) Adams, Ebony (Tony) Jenkins, Marcus Herrington, Camille Kilpatrick, Lakeisha Herrington, and Felicia Lonon;  a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

She meets at the gates of heaven her parents, 19 siblings, her husband, step-son Willard Mosley, and daughter-in-law Maxine Herrington.
