Dorothy Emma (Johnson) Mozie

Mrs. Dorothy Emma Johnson Mozie, 81, was born on April 18, 1939, to the late Mr. Russell Wilson and Mrs. Alberta Johnson in Trenton, New Jersey.  She along with the father of her children relocated to Georgia in 1971.

          Dorothy later met and married the love her life Mr. McKinley Mozie, Jr., on January 24, 1994.  She lived a full life as a devoted wife and homemaker who liked to cook and kept an immaculate home filled with different trinkets, Knick - knacks and what nots that she loved and collected.  The simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy.  Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone who knew her.  She had a heart of gold and a smile to go along with it.  She also held a special place in her heart for her dog P. Joe.

A loving and devoted wife, Dorothy committed and dedicated herself fully to her marriage of 27 years to Mr. McKinley Mozie, Jr. They enjoyed long rides together laughing and talking and eating out at their favorite restaurant.

The loving, caring, and nurturing spirit of Dorothy as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all will forever live in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her and crossed her path.

On Wednesday March 10, 2021, Mrs. Dorothy Emma Johnson Mozie made her final transition from earth into eternity at the Jenkins County Hospital in Millen, GA.    Sweet Servant of God well done.  Rest from thy love employ.  Your battle is now fought.  Your victory has been won.  Enter ye now the Master’s Joy.  Rest our Love until we meet again….

Her loving memories will forever be cherished by her devoted husband Mr. McKinley Mozie, Jr., her children: Curtis Johnson, Douglas Johnson, Sonia Wright Pelzer (Reggie), Anthony Wright (Mary), Melvin Gaines, Byron Tisby, and Shika Tisby; her step sons: Tyrone Daniels (Lashunta), Calvin Daniels, and Maurice Daniels (Quinshae); her Siblings: Russell Wilson, Jr., and  Leon Wilson, Jr., ; her Grandchildren: Damien Johnson, Delvin Milton, Ebony Jenkins, Shania Patterson, Ashley Johnson, Jackess Johnson, Monica Johnson, Cameron Johnson, Mauricia Daniels, Makinly Daniels, Mariah Daniels, and Jada Bryant; (11) Great grands; Sisters-in-law: Minnie Benton (Darnell), Mary Morris, Pauline Oliver, Carolyn Lawton, Elouise Blunt, and Earline White; Brother-in-law: Willie D. Mozie (Lisa); a special friend: Mary Anne Ponder, along with  a host  of nieces, nephews, cousins other relative and sorrowing friends.
