Mr. Eugene “Cowchie” Lovett, Jr.
(February 12, 1936 – February 09, 2023)
Mr. Eugene Lovett, Jr., 86, was born on February 12, 1936, to the late Mr. Eugene, Sr., and Mrs. Lessie Frazier Lovett in Sylvania, GA.
His early spiritual upbringings began at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church where he remained a faithful member. He was educated at the Bascom School. He was first employed at the Pink Oliver Farm where his mother worked in the house and his father worked in the fields. He later began his employment with the City of Sylvania Waste Treatment in 1975 and finally retired in 1993 after many years of devoted service.
Eugene was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Ora Lee Baxley Lovett. To this union, three children were born.
“Cowchie”, as he was affectionately known enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and his beloved animals for over 70 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, (3) Sisters: Evelena Riley, Georgia Bryant, and Sadie Mercer, two (2) brothers: James and Tommy Lovett.
Fond memories will forever be cherished by four (4) Children: Queen Ester Lovett, Charlene Lovett, and Glenn Lovett all of Atlanta, GA, and Arthur (Cheryl) Hall of Augusta, GA along with a host of Grandchildren, one Great grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
