Edward Jerome Samuel, Jr. (JJ) 30, was born on May 22, 1991 in Coral Springs Florida to Deacon Edward Jerome Samuel, Sr. and the late Holly Jeanne Watson Samuel. He transitioned on March 30, 2022 in Statesboro, Bulloch County, Georgia.
JJ attended the public schools of Screven County and was a graduate of Screven County High School Class of 2009. At a very young age he became a member of Sought Out Church of God in Christ, Sylvania, Georgia, under the leadership of the late Bishop Lloyd Watson. Later in life he became a member of New Home Welcome Baptist Church, Sylvania, Georgia.
At a very young age, JJ was part of the Little League Traveling Baseball Team where he won many trophies and awards. In addition to baseball, JJ also played recreation football and was very talented in creating drawings and paintings.
JJ was like a ray of sunshine whenever he entered a room. He loved everyone he met and everybody loved JJ. He also had a great talent in cooking and he loved to eat.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Holly Jeanne Watson Samuel and his brother, Reggie Brownlee.
He leaves behind loving memories to be cherished by his father, Edward Jerome Samuel, Sr. and his bonus mom, Minister Christine Samuel (Momma Dukes); his precious son, Braylon Samuel (mother, Malaika Brimidge); a loving sister, Tanganese Brownlee and loving brother, Jarrod Samuel, Both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two bonus sister, Zena S. Gates (Ronnie) of Augusta, Georgia and Lakia S. Wallace of Alexandria, Virginia; a loving niece, Kadyn J. Silva of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two bonus nephews, Tristen X. Wallace of Alexandria, Virginia and Demarcus T. McGruder and a bonus niece, Zaria C. McGruder of Augusta, Georgia; three loving aunties, Paulette Watson of Sylvania, Georgia, Michelle Samuel and Beverly Samuel both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two loving uncles, Kenneth Plummer and James Samuel both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; he also leaves a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends. A special godmother, Robin.
