The Legacy of Life
Erricka Denese Gordon Booker
August 20, 1974 – December 15, 2024
To know Erricka Denese Booker (formerly Erricka Denese Gor-
don) was to know the meaning of joy and devotion to family!
Her cheerfulness never wavered (even when she was ill), and
her optimism was contagious was amazing. She was a loving
person and we have all been blessed by her well
-lived life.
Erricka Denese Booker was born on Augusta 20, 1974, in Au-
gusta, GA to her beloved mother Christine “Bob” Robbins and
devoted father John Jerry Gordon. She lived a joyful life and
fought a good fight before departing this life on December 15,
2024 in Converse, TX, with her husband Shawn Booker by her
side. Resting with the Lord to welcome Erricka home is her
stepfather, Henry Robbins; her sister Eddie Mae Watts; her
stepsister, Catherine Sampson; and her stepbrothers Henry
“Junebug” Robbins and Erneset Robbins.
Erricka was raised in Sylvania, GA and educated in the
Screven County School System. Erricka was happiest when
she was spending time with her big, close-knit family. She
joined Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church of Sylvania, GA at a
young age. She had a strong, beautiful voice and loved singing
in the choir. Erricka loved the Lord and worshipped Him faithfully until her departure.
Erricka was a proud member of the Screven County High
School Class of 1993, where she was on the track and field
team. She was an impressive hurdler and runner. Erricka was
also, a manager for the ladies’ basketball team. After graduat-
ing from high school, Erricka was excited to join the workforce.
She was fiercely independent and always found employment,
but she knew that God was the source of her strength.
Erricka married her forever love Shawn Booker on September
5, 2008. Shawn's lengthy military career allowed them the op-
portunity to travel throughout the country.
Erricka’s memory will forever be cherished by her family: de-
voted husband Shawn Booker of Converse, TX; loving moth-
er, Christine Robbins of Sylvania, GA; loving father, Jerry
Gordon of Sylvania, GA; loving mother-in-law, Joreda Book-
