Fess Bargeron, Jr.

Deacon Fess Bargeron, Jr was born to the late Mr. Fess Bargeron, Sr and Mrs. Mae Belle Bargeron, April 20, 1959 in Screven County.  He departed this life on Monday, March 23, 2021 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta, GA after a short illness.

He was a formal member and Deacon at Bargeron Grove Baptist Church where he served faithfully.  He later joined and was affiliated with Believers Church in Sylvania, GA.

Fess attended Screven County High School where he joined the Screven County High School Marching Band.  In the band, he played Trombone which he loved and played well.  Fess is a member of the Screven County High School Class of 1977.  In 1978 he attended Fort Valley State University.  He also attended Swainsboro Technical College where obtained licenses as a Certified Electrician and Truck Driver (CDL).

On January 22, 1981 he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Gloria Griffin.  To this union, one daughter was born.  On July 2, 1985 he was later joined in Holy Matrimony to Barbara Childs.  To this union, one daughter was born.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted and loving Mother, Mrs. Mae Belle Bargeron, Sylvania, GA; two devoted daughters, Dr. Jacqueline Stephens (Terrance), Atlanta, GA and Ms. Sherrie Lynnett Bargeron, Augusta, GA; one devoted sister, Mrs. Delores Mikell (Billy), Brooklet, GA; two aunts, Ms. Elizabeth Kittles, Sylvania, GA and Ms. Dorothy Mobley, FL; five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
