Geraldine Bernice Jackson Atkins

1946 - 2025

Geraldine Bernice Jackson Atkins was born June 21, 1946, to the late Willie and Ruby Jackson.  She was educated in the public school system of Screven and was a 1966 graduate of Central High School.  She received a nursing degree in Seaside, California.  At an early age she was baptized and joined Good Will Baptist Church.  As an adult, she became a member of Jehovah’s Witness.  

On August 28, 1968 she married Albert Atkins, Jr. and to this union one child was born, Albert Atkins, III (Trey).  Both husband and son preceded her in death.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nettie Gordon, and two brothers, John and Randy Jackson.

Her memory will be cherished by two granddaughters, Tiahra Atkins and Ja’ Kayla Powell; one great granddaughter, Kehlani Powell; Four sisters, Elizabeth King, Sue Brown, Shirley (Corrie) Johnson and Ruth Boose; two brothers, Joseph Jackson and Lavon Jackson; also, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
