HENRIETTA (COOPER) BRYANT

Mrs. Henrietta Cooper Bryant, 77, was to the late Israel Cooper and Mae Bell Osbourne-Cooper on August 13,1944, in Screven County, GA.  She was the fourth of twelve children.  She graduated from Central High school in 1964.

The former Henrietta Cooper married Wilbert Bryant on December 17,1967 and three children were born from this union. She was an incredibly loving and devoted wife and mother.  The family moved to Rochester, NY in 1968 where she worked for Bausch & Lomb for 33 years and retired in 2003. She was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist church. She loved working in the church and served as head of the kitchen, preparing meals for the community and church functions.

Henrietta loved spending time with her family and friends.  She also adored and enjoyed playing with her dogs Rico and Bella. 

Henrietta was kind and giving and she will be missed deeply by those who knew and loved her. 

On Monday, December 20, 2021, Mrs. Henrietta Cooper Bryant departed this life at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center of Statesboro, GA.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her father and mother; Israel Cooper and Mae Bell Osbourne-Cooper; her brothers Eugene Cooper and Thomas Cooper; her sisters Lizzie Bell Green and Fred Ella Oliver.

Henrietta leaves to cherish her loving memory; her children Cynthia Bryant, David Bryant and Russell Bryant; her grandchildren Russell Tyrone Bryant, David Trey Bryant, Juwaun Wiggins, Chanya Bryant and Drew Bryant; her great granddaughter Avah Bryant; her daughter-in-law Michele Bryant; her brothers Clyde (Claudia) Cooper, Raymond Cooper, Harmon (Edith) Cooper and Lucious (Diane) Cooper; her sisters Effie Lee Reedy, Mary Lee Prescott and Gertrude Perkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
