Mr. Jerry Levon Hunter

August 6, 1954  -  February 4, 2025

Jerry Levon Hunter, 70, was born August 6, 1954, to Mr. Rother Lee Hunter, Sr., and Mrs. Betty Davis Hunter.  He departed this life February 4, 2025, at Optim Medical Center, Sylvania, GA.

At an early age Jerry’s parents died, and he and his sisters and brothers relocated to Sylvania, GA with their aunt and uncle, Reverend Roosevelt Bryant, Sr. and Sister Edna Hunter Bryant where he received his spiritual upbringing.  He attended the public schools of Screven County.  During his lifetime, Jerry sang with many Gospel Groups which was what he loved doing.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by his siblings, Patricia Raymond, Bebbie Bryant Morris and Gregory Bryant, Sr.

He is survived by his children, Alicia (Cary) Cody and Kristy Hunter; siblings, Roosevelt (Lila) Bryant, Rother Lee Bryant, Jr. and Margarite Johnson; seven grandchildren, Tevin Johnson, Charkie Johnson, Jada Johnson, Shamiyah Johnson, Shamel Johnson, Kristionna Sampson and Tanaya Lonon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
