“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believe in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Mrs. Jessie Lee Scott Taylor, 85, was born March 01, 1939, to the late Mr. George, Sr., and Mrs. Rosa Lee Carter Scott in Screven County, GA.
She received her early Christian upbringings at New Zion Baptist Church where she worked faithfully until her health declined. She was educated in the public schools of Screven County. She was employed with Optim Medical Center (formerly Screven County Hospital) of Sylvania, GA, for 45 years before retiring in 2011.
On Sunday morning June 16, 2024, Mrs. Jessie Lee Scott Taylor went home to be with the Lord at the Pineview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Sylvania, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George, Sr., and Rosa Lee Carter Scott, as well as her brothers: George Scott, Jr., Ernest Scott, and Willie Frank Scott.
Jessie enjoyed being the Mother of the Church, serving the community, singing in the choir, and being an usher. Most of all, she cherished leading her family as the captain of the ship. Her favorite song was, “Come on Jesus and help Me”. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
