The Legacy of Life
Mr. Jonathan Ivan Toby Wright
(May 30, 1984 – April 02, 2023)
Mr. Jonathan Wright, 38, was born May 30,1984 in Brooklyn New York to Mrs. Sallie Wright Crayton and the late Mr. Jimmy Crayton.
Jonathan attended P.S. 191 Elementary school in New York. After migrating to Sylvania, Georgia in 1998, he continued his education in Screven County schools where he graduated. Jonathan always had a Passion for writing and caring for others. In school, he was often rewarded for this skill, with one being the Martin Luther King, Jr. Award. Caring for others led him to the healthcare field where he attained his Certified Nursing Assistant license and Emergency Medical Technician license.
Jonathan loved and learned about God at a young age. He was baptized at Mount Ararat Baptist church in Brooklyn. Despite him being born with Sickle Cell his trust in God allowed him not to worry, but to help others in need and live by grandma's mantra taught to us to always "Pray, Trust and Believe." He devoted his time to private duty care giving, patient care at hospitals and many nursing homes such as Brown and Eagles Health and Rehabilitation, All-American Health Care, and Westwood PAC, all of which he enjoyed doing for years. He was so dedicated, loving and strong willed to do good in this world, that he superseded the life span the doctors had given him.
Jonathan had many interests. He loved to bowl, play video games, and record his Rap Music, which grew quite a large fan base. When his pen hit that paper there was no stopping his flow. One of Jonathan's greatest hits was a song dedicated to his late grandmother Annie Mae Wright as we all know. Though he did not have any biological children of his own, he was a good dad to 9 children and shared his many hobbies, love, and wisdom.
On Sunday evening April 02, 2023, the Lord Almighty in his wise providence summoned Jonathan Ivan Toby Wright from this life to eternity at his residence in Sylvania, GA, following an extended illness.
All of his dedication, love and good deeds was felt and extended beyond his own family. Jonathan will be missed and forever in our hearts.
Jonathan leaves behind to cherish fond memories: his loving mother Mrs. Sallie W. Crayton (1)Brother: Cedric Wright; (2)Sisters: Deatrice Wright and Barbara Francis (Steve); (2)Aunts: Inez Wright and Tanya Scurry (Richard); (3)Uncles: Bristol Wright, Roger Wright, and Pastor Rowan Wright (Rutha Mae); Goddaughter: Roshawndra Walker, the one that caught his heart, Shanell, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sorrowing friends whom he loved dearly.
