THE LEGACY OF LIFE
MR. KARY “PEE-WEE” PRESCOTT, SR.
(December 27, 1954 – April 07, 2026)
Mr. Kary Prescott Sr., affectionately known as “Peewee,” was born on December 27, 1954, and passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Frances Robinson and stepfather, Henry Robinson; his wife, Joe Anne Prescott; his son, Kary Prescott Jr.; his granddaughter, Kamiya; his sister, Barber Oliver; and his brothers, Rex Robinson, Bob Jr. Robinson, and Eciel Prescott.
Kary was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory three loving sons: Anthuan (Jamie) Norton of Barnwell, South Carolina; James (Kaeshanier) Norton of Augusta, Georgia; and Proy Beths of Sylvania, Georgia. He also leaves behind a legacy of love through his 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Ina Bell Grant of Denmark, South Carolina; his stepdaughter, Melissa Beths of Sylvania, Georgia; and a special friend, Cherenda Watson of Sylvania, Georgia.
Kary leaves to mourn five sisters: Eunice Green of Waynesboro, Georgia; Theresa (Larry) Grant, Alice Robinson, Becky Robinson, and Shirlean Robinson, all of Hiltonia, Georgia. He is also survived by six brothers: Cecil Prescott of St. Petersburg, Florida; Sam Robinson, Harold Robinson, Joseph Robinson, Roydean Robinson, and Karone (Arianna) Robinson, all of Sylvania, Georgia.
He is further survived by his loving aunt, Joyce Tanksley of Hiltonia, Georgia; and uncles, Hubert Prescott of Hiltonia, Georgia, Mickey (Elouise) Prescott of Millen, Georgia, and Gary (Vera) Prescott of Hiltonia, Georgia.
Kary also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Sharon (Greg) Hammond of Belle Glade, Florida, and Priscilla Nelson of Denmark, South Carolina; and his brothers-in-law, Buddy Oliver, Stanley (Brenda) Grant of Hiltonia, Georgia, and Robert Grant of Denmark, South Carolina.
He will also be fondly remembered by a great friend Reggie Brooks of Hiltonia, Georgia, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Kary worked faithfully for many years, including 14 years at M.I. and 8 years at Plant Vogtle before retiring. He also spent time doing domestic work, always providing for his family with dedication and pride.
He was a faithful member of Lovett Hill Baptist Church, where he found joy in fellowship and faith.
Kary will always be remembered for his warm spirit, his love for cooking and grilling, his enjoyment of card games and old-school music, and most of all, his deep love and care for his family. His presence will be truly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
