Lakesha Tewann Lashay Hayward, 27, was born, the daughter of Denna Hayward and Dyshon Howard, on June 19,1998, in Statesboro Ga. 

At a very young age, she gave her life to Christ and joined Life Application Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Johnathan Hampton.  She attended faithfully until she was called home to be with the Lord. Her favorite song was “You’re Bigger” by Jekalyn Carr.  Lakesha attended the Screven County School System where she was a member of the Class of 2017.

Lakesha often loved cooking, spending time with her kids, her family, and friends.  She also enjoyed long walks on the beach. She was a quiet and humble soul that would help anyone in need.  Lakesha was a lovable and caring soul who touched the lives of everyone whom she came in contact with.

On Monday April 13, 2026, Lakesha Tewann LaShay Hayward departed this life in exchange for life eternal at the Optim Medical Center of Sylvania, GA.

Lakesha was preceded in death by her Late Aunt Lakesha Lashay Howard.

Whitehead and Aubrey Scott all of Sylvania, Ga; Her devoted Mother: Denna Hayward of Sylvania, Ga; her Father: Dyshon Howard of Unadilla, Ga; Five Sisters: Alaiysha Major, Tashayla Sanders, Martesia Williams all of Sylvania, Ga, Shanyer Robbins of Statesboro, Ga, and Makayda Hayward of Pooler Ga.  Grandparents: Lizzie Cox and Willie (Ruthie) Howard all of Sylvania, Ga; Benny Walker (Mary Ann), Sardis, Ga; Four Aunts: Deann Cox and Dawshi Bostic both of Sylvania, Ga; and Charlonda Walker and Orshakayla Wright both of Sardis, Ga.; Seven Uncles: Eric Hayward (Sircondra), Dante Hayward, and Raphael Hayward all of Sylvania, Ga; Tracey Walker and Bennie Walker Jr., both of Sardis, Ga, Squire Bostic, Columbia, Sc, and Tyree Bostic (Adrienne) of Springhill, Fl.; A Very Special Friend: Craig Dixon, Sylvania, Ga., whom she loved dearly along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sorrowing friends.
