Mr. LeTerry Roland Jackson
(March 21, 1963 – February 09, 2023)
Mr. LeTerry Roland Jackson, 59, was born March 21, 1963, to the late Ms. Mattie Lee Jackson and the late Mr. Jesse Williams in Hiltonia, GA. At an early age he became a member of the Hiltonia First Baptist Church. Later in life he united with His Way Baptist Church and served faithfully until his health declined.
He was educated in the Screven County public school system and was a graduating member of the Screven County High School Class of 1981. He was employed doing various jobs throughout his life as well as being a devoted caregiver to his mother, grandmother, and sister. He was a very talented portrait artist and die-hard Georgia sports teams’ fan.
On Thursday morning February 09, 2023, LeTerry Roland Jackson made his final transition from earth into eternity at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center of Statesboro, GA following an extended illness.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents Mattie Lee Jackson and Jessie Williams, his Grandmother Clara Parrish, (3) brothers: Virgil Jackson, Avon Jackson, and Ellis Dempsey, (3) sisters Pamela Ellison, Tami Singleton, and Betty Jackson as well as (3) nieces.
Terry leaves to cherish fond and loving memories (7) Sisters: Ann Gail Cooper, Augusta, GA, Mattie (Issac) Mingle, Hiltonia, Ga, Dorine Dempsey, Chester, PA, Ethel Mae Cooper, Mary Ann Williams, Pancenia Oliver, and Jossie Williams all of Sylvania, GA; (5) Brothers: Danny (Betty) Williams, Thomas Williams and Keith Williams all of Sylvania, GA, Anthony Wright and Alfonso Wright both of Augusta, GA; (1) Aunt: Lizzie Mae Cooper of Sylvania, GA, (1) special cousin: Ida Herrington of Augusta, GA along with a host of nieces and nephews (whom he help to rear as his own children), cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends who will forever love and cherish the precious memories that they shared.
