MR. MORRIS SCOTT, JR.

November 17, 1944 – October 12, 2023

Mr. Morris Scott, Jr., 78, was born on November 17, 1944, the son of the late Mr. Morris, Sr., and Mrs. Cleo Bush Scott, in Screven County, GA.

At a tender age, Mr. Scott received his early Christian upbringings at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church of Sylvania, GA.  He also attended the public schools of Screven County.  Throughout his life he was employed at several jobs including the Peanut Mill, various lumber yards, and as a machine operator.  He retired as an auto mechanic from Scott’s Car Care, for which he is best known.

Mr. Scott was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Lizzie Mae Smoak.

On Thursday evening October 12, 2023, Mr. Morris Scott, Jr., completed his earthly journey to live in eternity at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lizzie Mae Smoak, his daughter Tasha Scott, (2) Sons: Morris Scott, II and Cameron Scott, and (1) brother: George Scott.

His life and memory will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Fond memories will forever be cherished by his Son: Milton (Missy) Scott; his Daughter: Bernice (Elder Horace) Orange of Ludowici, GA; (3) Brothers: Mountain Scott and Freddy Scott both of Sylvania, GA, and John Scott of Savannah, GA; (3) Sisters: Evelyn Scott and Blanche Scott both of Sylvania, GA, and Mary Helen Scott of Sardis, GA; (6) Grandchildren, (2) Great Grands, a special friend (who was more than a friend as well as a riding partner): Mr. John Smith, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
