Mrs. Alberta Kittles Gaines

June 13, 1930 – November 17, 2023

Mrs. Alberta Kittles Gaines, 93, was born on June 13, 1930, in Screven County, Georgia, to the late Mr. Karus and Mrs. Pearline Cohens Kittles.

At an early age, she joined the Greenwood Baptist Church in

Sylvania, Ga where she attended faithfully until she relocated to

Savannah, Georgia.  Alberta also attended the Oak Grove school in Screven County, Georgia.

Alberta had a passion for cooking and loved to feed people. She was an amazing cook!  She was well known for her famous collard greens and Chitterlings!  Alberta was an entrepreneur that owned and operated several cafés in Savannah and Sylvania.  In December of 1977 Alberta married Mr. Ike Frazier in Savannah, Georgia.

On Friday evening November 17, 2023, Mrs. Alberta Kittles Gaines traded the weary toils of this life for life in eternity with the Lord at her residence following an extended illness and surrounded by her loving family.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mr. Ike

Frazier, and grandchildren Roosevelt Mobley Jr, Robert Lee Preston

III, Johntay Smith, and Jamya Frazier; Siblings; Karus Jr, James, and

Clyde Kittles, Corene Fulcher, Georgia Mae Lovett, and Lucille Long.

Precious memories and her beautiful legacy will continue through her devoted children; Ivery Mobley (Roosevelt), Lawsenita Gaines, Frances Tauber, Sophia Barnes (Adam), all of Sylvania, Ga; Lartreye Smith (John Raymond) of Miami, Florida; Tasha Frazier of Savannah, Ga; Izsetta Jones of Jacksonville, FL; Paten Jenkins (Jamie), Terry Gaines (Michelle) of Savannah, Ga; Walker Gaines, Thomas Jenkins, Willie Williams of Sylvania, Ga; Guy Simmons of South Carolina. (1) sister; Josie Pearl Roberson of Sylvania, Ga; (3) brothers; K.C Kittles (Samantha) of Riverdale, Ga; Levi Kittles (Jessie Mae) of Sylvania, Ga; Hilton Kittles
