Mr. Maor Lee Simon, 83, was born May 12, 1943 to Spencer Simon and Dessie Lee Taylor Simon in Sylvania, Screven County, Georgia.  He departed this life Monday, May 18, 2026 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Statesboro, GA.

Major loved farming and gathering produce.  He was known as the produce man in Sylvania.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his first wife, Laretha Simon; his brothers, Tommie Lee, Clifford, John Willie and James L. Simon; his sister, Ruthie Simon Kittles; and his granddaughter Necole Lark.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Frances Simon of Sylvania, GA; his sons, Ronald (Mary) Simon of Huntsville, AL, and Errol (Linda) Lampkin of Stone Mountain, GA; his bonus children, Tracey (Carlos) Robbins and Sherea (Jeffery) Roberson, both of Sylvania, GA and Anthony Simon of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Ronald, Jr. (Rebecca), Jasmine, Deja, Latoya (Joseph), Roshell, Brandon, Blair and Breanna; his bonus grandchildren, Johniqua and Jaydin; his siblings, Thomas (Annie) Simon and Gerald Simon both of Sylvania, GA, Geneva (George) Oliver of St. Petersburg, FL, Thelma Moore of Central Islip, NY, Carolyn Simon of Atlanta, GA and Bernice Bangura of Junction City, Kansas; one aunt, Eva (Walter) Fulcher of Sylvania, GA; his brothers-in-law, James, Mosell and Ernest Taylor; sisters-in-law, Hazel Taylor and Lucille Simon; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
