Ms. Margie Ann Bryant, 83, the daughter of the late Thelma Bryant and James Roberts, was born on March 10, 1943, in Screven County, Georgia. She graduated from Central High
School and earned her LPN degree in nursing from Dekalb Technical College in Atlanta,
Georgia.
From a young age, Margie was a devoted member of New Home Welcome Baptist
Church, where she served faithfully as both a choir member and a secretary for many
years. She worked at Syl-View Health Care Center, Inc. for over 35 years. Margie
departed this life on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia.
Margie A. Bryant was a woman of faith, love, and dedication to her family, church, and
community. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared
with those around her. The cherished memories of Margie will continue to live on in the
hearts of her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving son, Derek C. Bryant, and his devoted wife, Shawn
Bryant. She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Derek C. Bryant II (Gelila) of Silver
Springs, Maryland; Kiara L. Bryant of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Terrell R. Bryant
(Sacha) of Ashburn, Virginia. Margie also cherished her godson, Arrion Roberts.
Additionally, she is remembered by her loving aunt, Willie Myrtle Sapp of Augusta,
Georgia, along with a host of cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
