Mother Rebecca McClendon

Mother Rebecca McClendon, 86, was born February 1, 1939 to the late Willie Pryor, Sr. and Mattie Lee Johnson Pryor in Sylvania, Screven County, GA.

She attended the Public Schools of Screven County before moving to Savannah, GA and attending Chatham County School System.  She was a 1963 graduate of Beach High School.

On Wednesday morning, February 12, 2025, she departed this life at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Statesboro, GA.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a sister, Ida Lou Scott, and a brother, Willie Pryor, Jr.

She is survived by a sister, Frances Warren of Augusta, GA; a special niece, Wanda (Gairy) Austin of McDonough, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
