Mr. Shawn T. Jones

(October 14, 1974 – September 15, 2022)

Mr. Shawn T. Jones, 47, was born on October 14, 1974, to the late George Raymond Jones, Sr., and Beatrice Reed Jones in Bayshore, New York.

He completed his education at Brentwood High School in Brentwood, NY. He also graduated from Old Suny Westbury College in Old Westbury, NY where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree. He worked for the IRS for seven years, but due to his declining health he had to retire.

At an early age he confessed his life to Christ and received Baptism at New Shiloh Baptist Church in Brentwood, NY under the shepherdship of the late Reverend William M. McKenzie.  Shawn continued his shepherdship under Reverend Charles Forest at First Baptist Church.  The one thing Shawn loves the most was music and fixing computers.

Shawn moved to Sylvania, GA in 2016 to be closer to his brothers.

On Thursday September 15, 2022, at Brown’s Health & Rehabilitation Center in Statesboro, GA, he transitioned peacefully to our Heavenly Father who sent His Angel of Mercy to carry him home. The Gates is open now where he will join his mother, father, brother Larry Jones; and all beloved family members who predeceased him.

He leaves to mourn seven (7) Brothers: George Raymond Jones Jr, Carl E. Jones, Anthony Jones, and Reginald Jones of Sylvania, GA. Darren Jones of Freeport, NY, Justin Jones of Pooler, GA, and Jared Jones of Atlanta, GA. His Aunts Mary Strowbridge of Augusta, Ga, Connie Natson of Sylvania, GA, and Demetress Nixon of Savannah, GA. His Uncles Barney Jones of Rochester, NY and Elvis Reed of Brooklyn, NY. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
