Mr. Tony Roshell Sapp
April 30, 1975 – December 17, 2023
Mr. Tony Roshell Sapp, 48, was born to the late Mr. Curtis Daughtry and Ms. Evelyn Sapp at University Hospital of Augusta, GA.
He received his spiritual foundation with the Universal Life Church Ministries where he obtained his credentials of ministry in The House of Fire Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Darrel Smith. He was educated at Jenkins County High School of Millen, GA. He held various positions of employment and service with the City of Millen Public Works, Supervisor of Plant Vogtle units 3 & 4, Safety Coordinator for Southeastern Limb and Tree, a Subcontractor for Leaf Filters, and a volunteer firefighter.
On Monday December 17, 2023, Mr. Tony Roshell Sapp answered the call of the Almighty to receive his eternal reward at the Effingham County Hospital in Springfield, GA, following a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents George Edward Sapp and Hattie Mae Sapp and an Aunt Madell Sapp.
He will be remembered for his diligent work ethic, loving and dedicated commitment to his family and his community, and devotion to his Heavenly Father and ministry. Being a strong leader, he lived a life full of purpose wearing many hats including maintenance of his property and livestock and was a true inspiration to all who surrounded him.
His life and legacy will continue through the loved ones he leave behind: his loving wife: Sharonda Freeman Sapp of Newington, GA; Daughters: Taraji Sapp, Margo Blair, and Blue Baker; Sons: Derrick Salter, Keontae Freeman, and Kevontae Freeman all of Newington, GA; His Mother: Evelyn Sapp of Millen, GA and His Father: Curtis Daughtry of Sylvania, GA; Sisters: Jacinda Gaines (Brad), Sylvania, GA, Renee Daughtry of Millen, GA, Janice Johnson of Savannah, GA, Renia Thompson of South Carolina, Sharonda Daughtry (Millen); (1) Brother: Sonny T. Hagens, Jr., Millen, GA; Aunts: Pearlie Copeland (Larry), Savannah, GA, and Jeanette Sapp, Augusta, GA; Uncles: Charlie Sapp (Patricia), of Millen, GA, George Sapp (Marie) of Augusta, GA, John Sapp (Diane) of Reidsville, GA, Marlon Sapp (Brenda) of Millen, GA, and Melvin Sapp of Statesboro, GA; His Mother-in-law: Carol Herrington (Isaac) of Sylvania, GA; Sisters-in-law: Nakisha Zambrana (Anthony) of Belle Glade, FL, and Mercedes Stretcher of Sylvania, GA; Brothers-in-law: Rashad Hughley (Jakeisha) of Sylvania, GA and Histrio Frank Freeman, Los Angeles, CA; a special Aunt Rhonda Brown Millsap of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Nephews: Jaden Roper, Jaliq Hagens, and King Sonny Hagens; best friends: Joseph Riley, Rufus Gibson, Keith Rice, Landon Hodges, Bill Hodges, Michael Stallings, Clay Boulineau, and Hunter Weaver along with a host of other nieces, nephews, a godson and goddaughter, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
